Dona Emma Solar

Renovation project for a charming 1960s apartment

Living Room Kitchen.jpg

For our first houseflipping project (buying a depreciated property for renovation and subsequent resale), we found this very well-lit, airy apartment with spacious rooms in a charming and well-maintained building in downtown Florianópolis.

The renovation was extensive, starting with integrating the kitchen and the living room, bringing a more modern way of living. We also created an en suite bedroom with an integrated walk-in closet, where there was previously a storage room and restroom. In addition, the bathrooms were completely restored, the parquet flooring was renewed and all electrical installations were replaced.

The living room is the entry point of the apartment, with large windows and excellent natural lighting. In our interior design project, we focused on creating a cozy space with a focus on a few elements.

In the guest bathroom, we decided to preserve the apartment's original fixtures, creating a contrast between the new light-colored tiles and the existing blue.

In the new en-suite bathroom, we chose warm colors for the wall covering, matching the tones of the solid wooden door, which was completely restored.
