Vitra Apartment
Design for a living area with an ocean view
We were hired to design the living area of this 21st-floor apartment in a building on the coast of Rio Grande do Sul. We opted for materials in their natural tones, letting the sea view to take the main focus of the design. The double-height ceiling defined the living and dining areas, giving an even greater sense of spaciousness to the space.
Using different finishes, the kitchen and living room, despite being integrated, maintain their identities and define the spaces. The marble countertop was created to be this integrating element, contrasting with the natural wood that brought refinement and warmth to the place.
